Leon, founder of Back of the Bent, seated alone in the rear of a Bentayga at night

Back of the Bent · A Living Archive

MotionThat Matters.

A living documentary archive of modern culture, observed from the back seat.

01 · The thesis

Back of the Bent captures the interior life of a city that is usually filmed from the outside.

The subject is Las Vegas, but the real subject is the human being moving through it. What they wear. What they say. What they do not say. What they choose not to explain.

02 · The editorial standard

Fame is neutral. Craft is the qualification.

We look for the people whose work makes the room possible: the practiced hand, the private list, the shift no one photographs, the decision made before anyone else arrives.

The instrument

03 · The instrument

The car is the frame.

The Bentayga is not the subject of the films, but it is essential to how the films exist at all. It is a room, a threshold, and a signal.

04 · The archive

Films. Extracts. Dispatches.

Private · The patronage layer

Private exists to protect the work.

A capped, invitation-led membership for those who want to support the archive and enter the conversation more closely. It exists only if it protects the work rather than distracts from it.
