Method · Public version
The camera is a guest.
It is invited into the room, and it behaves accordingly. It does not announce itself, does not chase, does not perform.
Relationship first, referral second, research third.
Subjects are approached as people rather than content. The work begins with conversation, context, and a clear understanding of what is being made.
Close enough to see the eyes. Far enough to see the geometry.
We favor two distances: close enough to see the eyes, or far enough to see the geometry. The middle distance is where television lives, and we avoid it.
Nothing is published early
A premise is labeled as a premise. A visual study is labeled as a visual study. A finished record appears only after verification, rights clearance, credit confirmation, and final approval.
Locations remain private
Exact locations are recorded internally for provenance and rights administration. Public copy, metadata, image descriptions, and filenames do not identify them.
Commercial relationships are disclosed
Brands may fit inside the world. The world never pauses for a brand. A relationship that affects a work is disclosed within the relevant record.
Correction is part of the archive
Documentary authority requires a visible route for factual corrections, attribution questions, privacy concerns, and rights claims.
The doctrine is the reference.
Everything else is craft support.
